WHAT WE DO • Our club is linked to rural science club. • We are currently producing a mural to go in the science garden near C block. • A mural is a big board that is decorated and pinned onto a wall. • Our mural is being made out of recycled materials such as bottle tops and plastic bags. • Our mural’s theme is germs.

  4. ARTISTS AND THEIR WORK (TWO FAMOUS ARTISTS ARE TONY CRAGG AND ANNE P SMITH)

  5. TONY CRAGG • Tony Cragg makes sculptures. • Tony Cragg was born in Liverpool in 1949 and educated at British art schools. • He has lived nearly half his life in Germany.

  6. ANNE P SMITH • Anne Smith designs robot animals. • Anne Smith spends her days making animal inspired sculptures from broken electronics and machine parts. • Her work has been displayed in galleries and museums across the US. • Anne is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design.

  7. THE MURAL • We have just started designing the mural with Miss Ilott at lunchtimes and it should be finished soon. When it is, it will be put up in the science garden. • Thank you for listening to our assembly on rural art.
