  2. Application of Bloom’s Taxonomy Topic: Responding to Poetry Remembering: Read the poem aloud a couple of times and notice the Impact it has on you. Try to label these emotions. Understanding: Interpret, at individual level your understanding of the poet’s aim and its success in the given poem. Summarise your interpretation. Applying: Paint a picture in your mind using the detailed sensuous imagery present in the poem. This will certainly enable simulation of ideas. Analysing: Contrast and compare similarities between other thematically linked poems already taught. Chart all possibilities of analysis/interpretation. Evaluating: Conclude by forming a personal response to the given poem. You may debate, further investigate and state your verdict in the evaluation of the poem. Creating: Assemble and compile all information and convert it to either a painting or a song of your own.
