We are ringing in the new year with 98 students blessing our school! Thank you God for each and every child! The preschool staff will start the New Year with a prayer at the end of their devotion for one of the families of our school. We will have our devotion in the morning before the start of school, and when your family’s turn comes up for the special prayer, we will send a special note home to let you know that “we prayed for you today.” Teaching our children to be comfortable speaking to God is so important. We want them to know that you can ask God in your prayers to help you in any way. In Jeremiah 33:3, the Lord says, “Call to me and I will answer you.” This is not an empty promise. These words are not spoken in haste. God has promised to listen to our prayers. He knows our needs before we do. Lord, help us to remember that You are with us and ready to hear our prayers. Help us lift up those around us in prayer as well. That will be our New Year’s resolution for all the LFP families. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen. January 23 & 24 – Color days:Wear WHITE to school January 24:“Sneak Peek” Preview Night 6:30pm January 27:Singing in FOM Church at11:00am to honor “National Lutheran School Week” January 28 – February 1:Spirit Week (more info to come) January 28:Registration for the 2013-2014 School Year begins (current students and FOM families February 4:Public Registration begins at 4:00pm VIPs (Very Important Parents) Meeting Monday, January 14 @ 9:15am & Thursday, January 17 at 6:30pm!! We need everyone to come to one of these meetings that will be willing to help get the Spring Fling Carnival organized for Sunday, March 3 from 3-6. Rachelle Dillett (Andrew’s mom in Ms. Therise’s class) and one of our own teachers on staff is the Chairperson for this fundraiser has a list of duties to be completed before our big event. We have lots of behind the scenes tasks to complete before the big day. Let’s make this one bigger, and as much fun as last year’s! If you cannot make one of these dates, please feel free to ask Rachelle, your child’s teacher, Ms. Kelly, or myself with any questions you may have. SAFETY FIRST! I am again asking for all of us to be safe and careful around our precious children when bringing and picking up for school. We have noticed a few of our parents driving too fast in our parking lot. In addition, we ask that you do notuse your cell phone as well, just as if you would be in a school zone. REMINDER: Monthly tuition is due on the 1st of the month. Any tuition paid after the 5thwill be assessed a $25 late fee. REMINDER: NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 21, in honor of MLK Day. “SNEAK PEEK” PREVIEW NIGHT ~ Preparations for the 2013-2014 has begun! We will be hosting a “Sneak Peek” Preview Night on Thursday, January 24 at 6:30pm. Come and learn more about the class that your child will be in for the 2013-2014 school year. This “sneak peek” is for current students who are returning to Little Fishers next year. Registration for the 2013-2014 school year will be January 28 through February 1 for our already enrolled students and FOM church families.
