  1. The Green Room is where Asda colleagues share stories, photos and videos about life at Asda. 10% discount for colleagues on all contact lenses at Asda Online Opticians As everyone starts to make their new year’s resolutions for 2011, we’re working with the Department of Health on their ‘Great Swapathon’ campaign in January, which aims to encourage people to make one change to their lifestyle in the new year for the good of their health.

  2. 15 ASDA colleagues and suppliers from the meat and produce department will be undertaking a 145 mile cycle over two days. The route includes 10,000 feet of ascent on roads and tracks. We start day one at the Irish Sea and finishes the second day at the North Sea, from Whitehaven to Newcastle. The event takes place on 22nd and 23rd June 2011, and all money raised will be for Everyman, the male prostate and testicular cancer charity. Asda launched the Tickled Pink campaign back in 1996 to raise money to help improve the lives of people with breast cancer, both now and in the future. Entering its 15th year, Asda's Tickled Pink campaign benefits two breast cancer charities - Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign and since it started, our work has raised over £25 million.

  3. Asda Sporting Chance • Asda Sporting Chance was launched to help provide access to sport for thousands of children throughout the UK in a range of sporting activities in their local community during school holidays. The campaign has two principle elements: • Making activities affordable: Free activity sessions for children in school holidays until 2013 (except Christmas) • Asda SportsAid grants: helping a new generation of British sporting talent, £360,000 in grants to talented youngsters every year in association with SportsAid

  4. Asda Sporting Chance • To benefit from the scheme, customers simply pick up a voucher in-store or download one online at www.asda-sportingchance.co.uk. With this they will be able to use the kitchen areas for the community activities, which they are very active in."Asda is keen to support the local communities it serves and we wish the centre all the best."The Chesser store has also raised £5,000 since the start of this year towards Tickled Pink, which is run by Linda and helps to improve the lives of people with breast cancer. She added: "We've got everyone in the store to take part in some way in fundraising and we're proud to have raised £5,000 in just a few months. There'll be lots more to come."
