  2. EE REPORTING TIMEFRAME • Manual and postal submissions open on 1st September 2014 and close on 1st October 2014 • EE online reporting opens on 1st September 2014 and closes on 15 January 2015

EE ONLINE REPORTING - EMPLOYER ACCESS • To access EE online reporting facility visit : www.labour.gov.za • Click “employment equity online reporting” link under online services. • How to access your EE profile • A Newly designated employer must register online. • An activation link is provided by DoL to employers who previously submitted. • An activation link may also be obtained on the login portal: click “forgot password”. EE ONLINE REPORTING – NEW REGISTRATION • Newly designated employer(s)must click on “register” link on the EE reporting login page. • Complete the registration form and click submit. • Wait for the email with the activation link. • Employers are required to activate their account before they can login. • Employers who have previously submitted an EE report are not required to register again. EE ONLINE REPORTING – FORGOT PASSWORD • An Employer who forgot password, can click on “forgot password” link on the EE reporting login page. • You will receive a screen that requires you to enter the company EE Ref no/Username and CEO/Accounting Officer email address. • CEO/Accounting Officer & EE Manager will then receive an activation link by email. • Click “activate EE user" link.

REMINDER LETTER • The login passwords change every year. • Employers who previously submitted a report will create their own new passwords. • The CEO/Accounting Officer and EE Manager will be sent an email with a reminder letter. • The reminder letter contains a link to activate your account.

Key Changes • All designated employers must report annually from 2014 onwards. • The EEA2 & EEA4 forms are the same for all employers. • The EEA2 form is shorter and now has 9 pages. • The EEA4 has a new table with reasons for income disparities. • The EEA4 has a CEO/Accounting Officer signature page

  18. Key Changes • The login page has updated tabs with new information: • Amended EE Act; • Amended EE Regulations; • 2013 Public Register with EE Ref. No. (username).

Key Changes • A “save” button has been introduced under each table. • Click “save” to retain data and avoid timeout. • Upon completion of EEA2 & EEA4 you will get the title “report completed but not submitted”. • Notification emails will be send to employers as a reminder that their EE report is not yet submitted.

  20. Changes to Employer details The following changes need a letter on a company letterhead signed by the CEO/Accounting Officer: Contact details of the CEO/Accounting Officer and EE Manager Structure of the company e.g. mergers, restructurings etc

CHALLENGES • CEO/Accounting Officer and EE Managers email address fields are completed with wrong information of consultants, consequently: • Employers do not receive reminder letters with login and activation details • Employers do not receive acknowledgement letters • Employers do not receive a copy of the EE reports submitted or any other correspondence • Data security is compromised
