  2. Switching Symbol Pole Throw The Pole of the switch is where the switch pivots or is attached to our circuits. The Throw of the switch is where the switch makes contact when it is closed.

  3. Switching Symbol This is a symbol for a Single Pole Single Throw Switch or P S S T SPST

  4. Wiring Switching Circuits • To wire a SPST switch in the circuits we will be making, we will use a Hot Bus Bar (HBB) • The HBB is used to connect the (-) side of the battery to the pole of the switch. • We use the HBB so that we can attach multiple switches to one (-) wire coming from our power supply.
