Geography Map Of Kosovo • Capital of Kosovo is Pristina • Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, and Albania border Kosovo. • Area of Kosovo is 10,887 km sq • 2 largest lakes • Gazido lake (Area: 9.2km sq.) • Radonjicko lake (Area:5.96km sq.) • Kosovo is located in Southeast Europe in the central part of Balkan peninsula. • Very snowy winters and warm summers. • Gjeravica is the tallest mountain in Kosovo with an elevation of 2,656 meters.

History • The president of Kosovo is Atifet Jahjaga • The prime minister of Kosovo is Hashi Thaci • Nationalities:88% Albanian,6% Serbs,3% Bosniak,1%Romanian,1% Turks,1% Gorani. • In Kosovo there languages are Albanian,Serbian,Bosnian,Turk-ish,Roman,And English • The most spoken language is Albanian. In Albanian pershendetje means hello and lamtumire means goodbye

  4. Flag • Blue represents the European flag color. • The yellow represents gold as is Kosovo is golden • 6 stars represent nationalities of Kosovo • The Kosovo flag was adopted on February 17th 2008.

Animals • Brown bears,Lynx,Gray wolves,Foxes,Chamois, and red dear live in mountainous area’s • The black birds there are very famous because the 1389 battle of Kosovo was named after Poljie which means field of black birds. • Wolves are very good at defending there family by biting sometimes even scratching. The wolf has 2 natural enemies the brown bear which digs up there dens and most likely then not kill the young pups and us humans we hunt them for there skin or just to sell them. • Almost all other animals in Kosovo where there natural enemy.

  6. Sports Kosovo has lots of sport that we have like…………. • Skiing • Soccer which there they call football • Basketball • Wrestling • Judo which is like karate There most famous sport there is table tennis.

  7. Culture • A very important celebration there is there independence which this year they will be going on there 4th anniversary. • Gracanica Monastery is one of King Milutins last monumental buildings. • The independence of Kosovo is February 18, 2008.

  8. Important Facts The currency they use is Euros the price of 1 euro in America changes everyday The population of Kosovo is about 2 million estimated. Pork is not eaten much but chicken, beef and lamb are. Meat is often grilled. Minced meat is mixed with rice and stuffed in cabbage or vine leaves. There are many vegetarians in Kosovo they mostly eat a dish called Tursija this dish has peppers stuffed with cheese cabbage and tomato.
