  8. Result of CISPR/H/WG2 and CISPR/A/WG2 meeting in Cape Town • A concept (CISPR/A/WG2(Battermann/ Dunker) for for the estimation the conducting coupling by the AC-mains was presented in CISPR/H/WG2 and CISPR/A/WG2 • This concept of the conducting coupling takes into account the characteristics of the AC-mains which have different attenuation for symmetrical and asymmetrical disturbance emissions. • The concept deviates from the old CISPR/A/Sec)67; July 1985 • CISPR/H/WG2 is interested in this measurement procedure and its results for the weighting of limit on mains • CISPR/A/WG2 decided to prepare a draft CD for the measurement equipment and the measurement procedure and to involve CISPR/WG3 in this topic L. Dunker / BNetzA/413a

  9. Concept of the mains decoupling factor • The mains decoupling factor [dB] is defined for the measurement of: • U0 measured on the test site • U1 measured at the antenna’s feed-point L. Dunker / BNetzA/413a

  10. Concept of the mains decoupling factor Results of the DM,asym and DM,sym measured in a modern installed flat at 19 sockets (Voltage at 50 Ohm) L. Dunker / BNetzA/413a

  11. Concept of the “coupling loss” • The coupling loss of the mains [dB] is the transfer function between two point in a network without constant impedance which can be measured by the disturbance current. • The coupling loss is defined as: L. Dunker / BNetzA/413a

  12. Concept of the “coupling loss” Results of the CL,M,asym and CL,M,sym measured in a modern installed flat at 19 sockets L. Dunker / BNetzA/413a

  13. Content of to be drafted CD • Definitions and characteristic of conducted coupling: • Definitions of mains decoupling • Definitions of coupling loss • Estimation of maximal allowed disturbance voltage • Requirements to the artificial disturbance source • Output voltage (symmetrical and asymmetrical) • Impedances (symmetrical and asymmetrical) • Conditions for the connection to PE (Battery powered or mains powered) • Requirement to the “coupling device” L. Dunker / BNetzA/413a

  14. Content of to be drafted CD • Requirement to the radio dummy • Size and type of the radio case and stick antenna • Input impedance to the dummy connected with the stick antenna (impedance converter of CISPR 25) • Mains connection from dummy case (capacitive) • Powered by battery • Indication of voltage at the feed-point of the stick antenna (battery powered receiver or spectrum ananlyzer) • Conditions for the connection to PE L. Dunker / BNetzA/413a

  15. Content of to be drafted CD • Measurement procedure • Measurement on the test site (asymmetrical and symmetrical voltage) • Handling of disturbance source and radio dummy (e. g. distance to the environment,…) • Measurement of the voltage at the antenna feet-point (mains decoupling) or the currents (coupling loss) • Calculate the wanted values: mains decoupling or coupling loss by mean and standard deviation • Estimation of the symmetrical decoupling of the mains taking into account mean, standard deviation and the t-quantile L. Dunker / BNetzA/413a

  16. Action in CISPR/A/WG2 • Discussion of the draft CD during the midterm meeting in Frankfurt and decision for further actions • It is expected that the CD is basically accepted and this CD is published short after the meeting. • The next discussion in CISPR/A could be at the meeting in Sweden. • Any comments / cooperation from / with CISPR/I/WG3 are / is welcome. L. Dunker / BNetzA/413a
