Lockdown Education Sector or COVID-19 Impact on The pandemic all over the globe due to coronavirus has disturbed different sectors in India that include oil and gas, automobiles, aviation, and so on. Every sector has been affected by this crisis, maybe the impact is more or less. The education sector has also got impacted by this pandemic situation. Let’s look forward to the impact of coronavirus on education in India and some possible solutions. Online courses have gained a lot of importance due to this lockdown. Food and beverage management courses in India or other such courses have gained a lot of importance. This has helped the students to think and evaluate where they stand and bring a change to the whole concept of studying. Due to coronavirus pandemic, the state government throughout the country has shut down all the schools and colleges. As per the present situation, there is an uncertainty when schools and colleges will open again. The world is under a crucial situation so does the education sector because the entrance tests of several universities and competitive examinations are held during this period. It is estimated that educational institutes can affect around 600 million learners across the world. First, let us see what all the educational institutions are doing to fight against the pandemic. Measures which are taken by the institutes are as follows: Schools and colleges have been closed The examinations have been postponed or rescheduled Cleaning and sanitization of premises Consideration of long-term uncertainty Education sector: the impact during the lockdown All the major entrance examinations are postponed including engineering, medical, law, agriculture, fashion and designing courses, and so on. The situation can be easily ringing an alarming bell that is mainly private sector universities. Some faculties and employees may face different salary cuts, bonuses and increments are also postponed. The situation has generated uncertainty over the examination cycle. Maybe the universities may face impact in terms of a slowdown in student internships and placements, lower fee collection, and so on. Another major concern is that the lockdown has affected the paying capacity of several people in the private sector that caters to a sizeable section of the students in the country. Student counseling operations are also affected. Several institutions may pause faculty hiring and different plans for existing vacancies that in turn affect quality and excellence.
