I was recently asked to come up with three suggestions to help project management professional certification holders like you advance in their careers. The objective was to compile information from a range of sources into a single text. You obviously want to understand about project management and what project managers do. It's often a question of who you are as a person and how you act beyond that. I'll close on that note with a little imagined drum roll. That's it: three ideas to assist you advance your project management profession! 1.Be Flexible The road to the top isn't always easy. At regular intervals, you travel sideways and then up. Others who are more open-minded are progressing, while you stay there, hoping for that promotion. Before you disregard an opportunity, think about what you stand to gain. Is it helping you to learn more about your company or industry, expand your talent pool, expand your network, or build working relationships? You will be compared to others who have shown that they are not afraid to try new things. 2.Be Likeable Being likeable necessitates a specific set of skills. You have the potential to become well-known. As I learnt when preparing for the project management professional certification, ability is a trait that can be developed rather than an all-or-nothing one. People are in charge of performing project tasks. Individuals prefer to be surrounded by people they enjoy when all other things are equal. When people love working with you, they are more willing to go the extra mile for you, and you have a better selection of the best capable resources. How? Before you say anything,

  2. think about what you're about to say. Always be honest and considerate. Everyone in your immediate surroundings should be respected. Become a role model for others. 3.Be Low-maintenance Do I make things easier for the people I work with, or do I make things harder for them? Is it because I'm high- maintenance or because I'm highly valued? If you don't know the answer, ask someone you can trust. "It is literally true," Napoleon Hill said, "that the finest and quickest way to achieve is to help others succeed." Regardless of how important your title is or how much money you make, you are serving people. Your goal when you arrive at work is to assist others. If your actions demonstrate service, others will notice. Need more insights on the same? Enrol in a PMP prep course sessiontoday!
