  2. ABOUT DU Delhi University Undergraduate and Postgraduate Courses • The University of Delhi, which was established in 1922, had a humble beginning. It had just three colleges and a little over 700 students at the time. At present, it is considered to be one of India's largest universities, which provides higher education, professional courses and regular academic programs. Delhi University has 86 departments, 77 colleges and 16 faculties. It also has a lot of affiliated institutions and colleges and some 150,000 regular students along with 250, 000 students as distance learners on its rolls. All of the faculties, departments and colleges are scattered around the NCR and they are linked by a centralized computer network so as to facilitate learning, communication and administration. The official website of University of Delhi is www.du.ac.in.  • This website provides information about the courses, admission procedure, colleges, departments, libraries and research programs. It provides you access to a large database of international and national research journals. It also updates you about the upcoming workshops, conferences, events and lectures.
