  6. Research proposal • 5 month trial of MWC (initial pilot was 3 months) • 2 specialised units • 6 week Implementation • Planned completion January 2009 • GO LIVE actually occurred on time - 2nd February 2009

  21. Outcomes Pilot Challenges • Introduction of new devices as well as new software • Real benefits only come when used by wide range of staff • Inability to implement modifications to software during a short term pilot

Conclusions - based on small sample from pilot • positive demonstration of decreased length of stay to date • positive evidence to support decreased healing time of wounds • Visual analysis of consecutive digital images demonstrates healing • Next step will be to use the pilot learnings and work with Fujitsu/HSA to plan and implement changes necessary for further rollout • Exciting to be involved in “cutting edge” technology
