That includes: 1. lawn fertilizer, 2. grass clippings, STORMWATER POLLUTANTS FIND THEIR WAY INTO WHERE WE FISH,WHAT WE DRINK AND WHERE WE SWIM. 3. pet waste, and 4. tree leaves. All are sources of plant nutrients that turns streams, lakes, and rivers green with algae.

Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination • Map City/MDT MS4s • Updated annually • Code Enforcement • Ordinance 1634: Controlling the Introduction of Pollutants into the City MS4 • IDDE Program-2008 • A plan to detect and address illicit discharges • Basin delineation, land use audit, outfall assessment, field screening • Addressing and fix illegal discharges

Construction Site Stormwater Runoff Control • Ordinance 1600 • ESC standards, inspections, and enforcements • Kalispell Construction Stormwater Management Permit • Aid for ordinance compliance, tracking, inspection, and oversight of land disturbance • Any land disturbance activities within City limits

  7. Pollution Prevention/Good Housekeeping for Municipal Operations • Review, Develop, and Implement an Operation and Maintenance Program for Municipal Operations • Train Employees
