  2. What Is It? • Two dimensional motion resulting from a vertical acceleration due to gravity and a uniform horizontal velocity

Separate • Galileo determined that the vertical and horizontal components of the projectile motion can be analyzed separately • Acceleration due to gravity is the same regardless of horizontalvelocity • An object projected horizontally will reach the ground at the same time as one dropped straight down from the same height
