Introduction to the course • 30 hours course • 2 days per week *2 hour per day (Tuesday and Thursday from 17.30 to 19.30) Note: *it will be good if start the class on time • Purpose of this class is to expand learner’s vocabulary, improve pronunciation and to build some more confidence when speaking • It’s relatively small class so I believe that it will be easy to work in pairs or small groups of 3-4 students • Sometimes you will be assigned with homework which you will submit in the next class, then we will spend 5 min in the beginning to discuss it and check the answers. Additionally, we will have quizzes every day to check your knowledge and improvement.

  3. Content: • How to improve English Fluency • Idiom of the day! • Greetings • Personal information • Describing the picture (TOEIC Listening)

  4. How to Improve English Fluency

  5. #1 Start with simple vocabulary • When you are at home, classroom, outside,…think about things that you are surrounded with and think in English only!

  6. #2 Make short simple sentences • Before you just used words to explain things around you, now think about and express yourself in a simple short sentences • Think in English only!

  7. #3 Plan your day in English • In the morning when you wake up take a few minutes and plan what are you going to do on that day and plan it in English • Think in English only!

  8. #4 Make conversations • When you are training, walking, taking a shower think and make short conversation, imagine that someone is with you and talk to him. If this is to strange for you, practice it with your best friend or your parents.

  9. Do it on a daily basis • More that you practice better you will be. It is so simple. Take a few minutes every day and practice, practice, practice. • Use vocabulary and rules that you have learned in school.

  10. Idiom of the day! • 1. Piece of cake – No, when someone says that the assignment they just finished was a piece of cake, it does not mean that their professor gave them a chocolate cupcake for their midterm paper, what piece of cake actually means is that something is very easy to complete.
