  2. GIG-Related Support Activities Continue to host, and provide operating system and security support for GIG-owned testing nodes, which include: • repo hosting • CVS repository • Working group (wg) web sites • CTSS software distribution service • Testbeds • GRAM Audit testing service, in support of TeraGrid Gateways • Authentication, Authorizations, and Access testbed • Scheduling testbed, for advanced reservations and co-scheduling (new) • TeraGrid-wide MDS information services (new) • Resource queues and load information used by TGUP • CTSS capability kit registry • TeraGrid Build & Test system, used to build CTSS 4 September 2007 Quarterly Meeting

  3. Additional Support Activities • MPICH-G2/MPIg team hardware and software support • Identified a critical bug in the MPICH-GM software from Myricom • Patch now available • Continued progress toward RHEL4 upgrade • Testing of GIG-provided software for IA32 and IA64 architectures • Work with GIG Software group to identify requirements and refine process for adding new platforms to TeraGrid • Bcfg: Cluster Management Tool • Making use of bcfg to manage nodes of the cluster, including CTSS, and Globus software and services • Presented at TeraGrid ‘07 Conference • Documenting the process, to be made available to other RPs September 2007 Quarterly Meeting

  4. TeraGrid Visualization Gateway • Dynamic Accounts for community users • Hardening of dynamic account functionality • Move into production in late Q4FY07 • Explore scaling functionality to additional resources (currently targeting on UC/ANL) • Continue to polish existing portlets • Exploring individualized views of available visualization resources • Feature enhancements based on user feedback • File Management portlet, already some feedback (need to coordinate with TGUP team to avoid duplication of effort) September 2007 Quarterly Meeting

  5. TeraGrid Visualization Gateway • Integrate Additional Visualization Tools • Expand current set of visualization tools and work with other RP sites to see what they can offer. • TeraDRE - working with Purdue to integrate this portlet, hope to be in production Q1FY08 • Expanding the prototype for the vl3-based, volume rendering service • Exploring possible VMD service to visualize NAMD simulations (collaborating with Indiana) • SC07 Visualization Gateway Demonstration September 2007 Quarterly Meeting

  6. Visualization • Enhanced Visualization Documentation • Rolled out first round of visualization documentation on main TeraGrid website • Soliciting contributions from RP sites for additional documentation, tutorials, etc. • Data Visualization Support Kit • Defined capability kit, based on VTSS (Visualization TeraGrid Software and Services) components (first registered in MDS by TACC) • SC07 Blood flow visualization demonstration • Collaborating with PI: Karniadakis, to visualize blood flow simulation runs on multiple TeraGrid sites September 2007 Quarterly Meeting
