Internet Number Resource Status Report - September 2011 Overview

This report, prepared by the five Regional Internet Registries (RIRs) - AfriNIC, APNIC, ARIN, LACNIC, and RIPE NCC - provides a comprehensive status update on the usage and allocation of IPv4 and IPv6 address spaces, as well as Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs) as of September 30, 2011. It details the issuance of /8 blocks by RIRs over the years, total ASN assignments, 4-byte ASN assignments, and the allocations of IPv6 address space to RIRs and LIRs/ISPs. Historical and current statistics are included to better understand number resource management.
