  2. A Abigail Adams-wife of john adams,known for her stance of women in letters to her husband.   3. b Benjamin Franklin-author, publisher, inventor, and diplomat Bernardo De Galvez- Spaniard who held off British in New Orleans ,but allowed American use of the port.

  4. C Crispus attacks- American hero ,and Marty of the Boston massacre. Calhoun , John- President of the U.S ; created a doctrine of nullification Which said that a state could decide if a law was a constitution.

  5. D Dorthea Dix- Reformer who fought To improve the care of mentally ill. Deere , John- Inventor of the steel plow.

  6. E Eli Whitney- Invented the cotton gin in Interchangeable parts. English bill of rights- Called for frequency election Guaranteed rights to bear arms, forbade cruel and unusual punishments; restate trial by jury.

  7. F Federalism- power of the government is shared between the states And national government. Free enterprise system- Individual people and not the government Control the economy; people decided what to sell and buy. (Alexander Hamilton)

  24. W • Washington ,George – commander of the us army commander –in-chief of the constitution convention , 1st U.S president help create strong government . • Went worth, chess well- Educate african American patriot made the same mid-ride as Paul revere warning that British were coming .
