Stone Age Vocabulary • Artefacts-objects made or used by humans. • Atlatl-a spear thrower • Archaeologists-who researches ancient cultures by examining their material remains. • Homo sapiens-species of bipedal primates characterized by language and making and using,tools;thinking man. • Genome-a life’s form genetic material.

  4. Anthropologist-one who studies human development,culture and behavior. • Fossil-the remains of a living thing from a previous geologic age. • Hominid-human and human-like beings • Paleontologist-studies fossil remains

  9. Paleolithic people were great artist –paintings on the roof and walls of caves • Painted only animals that they had to bring down –reindeers,bisons,horses etc • Paintings discovered in caves of Europe • Used knapped stones,wood and bones for hunting
