  2. Objectives • List the basic steps for installing the DS4700 or DS4800 with the EXP810 drive enclosures • Employ proper cabling techniques/methodology • Follow proper power on/off sequence

Steps for Hardware Install • Unpack the hardware according to the directions in the unpacking guide that should be attached to the outside of the shipping carton. • Install the cabinet, controller enclosure and drive expansion enclosures by following the directions in the hardware installation guide. • Attach the power cables. • Attach Ethernet cables - one to each controller. • Cable the controller and drive expansion enclosures. • Check the link rate switch on all enclosures. • Turn on the power in the correct sequence. • Set the controllers’ IP addresses • Attach the host interface cables
