  2. Improve Retention Research shows 89% increase in retention when relevant and compelling visuals are used.

  3. Science and Math Video illustrates concepts that can’t be conveyed by static images, discussion, or lecture.

  4. Documentaries Students can create their own videos for more engaged learning while developing 21st-Century Skills.

  5. Critique Arts Performances Students may analyze techniques, critique a performance by renowned artists, or observe their own practice.

  6. Virtual Field Trips Videoconferencing should be connected to your objectives and based on educational standards.

  7. Teacher-Created Video Create your own video to supplement lessons or to “flip” your classroom.

  8. Video Editing Apps Students may create and edit videos right from their cell phones using free apps, such as “Splice”.

  9. Video Podcasts “Vodcasts” are an effective way to review prior knowledge, give student feedback, or develop student-created media.

  10. MOOC and Video Open source platforms allow for anyone to take videotaped university classes for free

  11. Remember- Relevant and compelling images can improve learning and retention by up to 89%!
