The Parent stage of spiritual maturity reflects a deep relationship with God, characterized by a strong grasp of His Word and its application in daily life. Such individuals are God-dependent, others-centered, and committed to reproducing mature disciples of Christ. Encouraged by 2 Timothy 2:1-2, they invite others to follow their example as they grow in faith. At Nine Forks Baptist, we believe that the church has a vital role in nurturing each spiritual stage, ensuring a vibrant and enduring community of believers.

  2. FIVE SPIRITUAL STAGES: • LOST • INFANT • CHILD • YOUNG ADULT • PARENT The church has a responsibility to each of these stages!

  3. Parent: The Parent has a solid understanding of God’s word and a deep, abiding relationship with the Father. They are living out God’s word in their lives daily. They are others centered and God-dependent. They are able to reproduce mature Disciples of Christ by inviting others to follow them as they follow Christ.

  4. “You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in then presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.” 2 Timothy 2:1-2
