PROJECT: GREEN TECHNOLOGY ROADMAP REPORTING PERIOD: 1/10/2013 – 31/10/2013 • Project Fund: RM 3,755,167 • Duration: 1/6/2013 – 1/4/2014 Project Brief/Summary • Project goal is to ensure realization of national green technology policy aspiration and translation of green technology policy objectives and strategic thrusts into implementable actions • Baseline study for 9 key sectors namely Energy, Building, Transport, Manufacturing, ICT, Water, Waste Management, Agriculture and Forestry Objectives • To propose appropriate policy measures for Green Economy • To establish holistic and detailed GTMP framework based on six (6) key enablers viz. human capital, financial incentives, infrastructure, regulatory framework, innovation, and branding. • To establish national Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets, prioritized strategies, comprehensive action plans and specify implementing agencies and timeline for the key sectors Expected Outcomes Component 1 (roadmap review report) completed by end of January 2013 Component 2 (GT Regulatory Framework) completed by End of December 2013 Component 3 (Techno-economic Assessment) completed by March 2014 Component 4 Green Incentives completed by end of December 2013 Feasibility Study on Green Investment completed by March 2014 Component 6 (Detail Action Plan) completed by April 2014 Status Component 1 - 15% Component 2 – 60% Component 3 – 10% Component 4 – 5% Component 6 – 10%

PROJECT: GREEN TECHNOLOGY ROADMAP REPORTING PERIOD: 1/10/2013 – 31/10/2013 Activities Completed (During reporting period) • Draft progress report 4 submitted by LESTARI • Preliminary arrangement of Study Mission to Europe • Preliminary arrangement for conducting EU Ambassadors and Minister (Stakeholders Engagement through Golf Game) • Proposal on Roadmap Review submitted from ISIS accepted and evaluated • Proposal on Economic Assessment from MIER accepted and evaluated • Project Inception Report prepared • Evaluation on proposals and potential consultants undertaken on 21 to 25 October 2013 % completed: 15 % % funds utilised: 4.45% (RM 167,236 spent out of RM 3,755,167) • Activities Planned (For next reporting period) • Submission of Project Inception Report • Finalization of Framework for Green Technology Master Plan strategies and detail action plans • Finalization of appointment of consultants for component 1-4 • Contract preparation finalized for all project components • Revise proposal by MIER • Finalize appointment of Technical Experts and Editor • Arrange of study mission and stakeholders engagement sessions

PROJECT: GREEN TECHNOLOGY ROADMAP REPORTING PERIOD: 1/10/2013 – 31/10/2013 Impacts of the Project Detail project plans and components were planned which inculcated key enabling factors (Institutional Framework, Financing, R&D and Awareness) • Photos of activities for the period of reporting Challenges Uncertain capabilities of the consultant to provide full commitment to deliver the project on time especially for component 4 and 6. Component 4 – Proposal submitted was quoted higher than the allocated budget and the consultant may have lack of commitment to the project Component 6 – Proposal was quoted at reasonable price and provided satisfactory project Team. However, the team may have lacking of commitment for stakeholders engagement Actions High level meeting (internal session) will be arranged to evaluate further the assignment and expertise engagement as well as firm-up the project team.
