  4. Review of last time • Unhappy with your score on the reading strategies quiz? Choose one of the following re-take options. • Do nothing – only available if you scored 15 or higher. • Write a response to the questions you got wrong. Get ½ credit for each corrected response. • Re-take the test completely and use the better of the two scores as your grade. • Used pictures or images to describe each of the 7 strategies in a way that makes sense to you.   7. Ten / tain / tin • Latin tenere, tentum, “to hold” • Take a moment to think up a sentence (maybe two) that includes all four words with their intended meaning. So, “Here is my sentence using sustain, abstain, tenacious, and retinue.” doesn’t meet the criteria • For fun, get two English teachers in the same room and ask them if the “Oxford Comma” is necessary.
