  1. What is RMS? The Remote Management System (RMS), also called NMS, for routers and other network devices, is part of E-Lins's network management tools. RMS provides complete visibility and control of E-Lins systems via a specialized web server that we've built into every Target. Access RMS over the LAN or WAN using a standard web browser (like IE, Firefox or Safari). Simply point your browser at the Target IP address or hostname to gain access to RMS. RMS provides the capability to monitor and manage software and hardware assets, from a local stand-alone system to distributed, multi-site systems. View status with a quick glance at intuitive green, amber, and red indicators. Users can select filter views to suit their needs from either a concise summary or full details. Often for small quantity no need to use RMS, but when running routers comes to hundred or thousand or more, then we have to use RMS to manage all the running routers. At this time, RMS will play an important role. RMS Features System Level Management Remotely restart, reboot, shutdown routers Name Of Router: apply intuitive router names Upload and manage option files Upload sound files and perform spectral analysis Network Configuration Set the following: Local IP address and subnet mask Local hostname Gateway address Nameserver address NTP server address System Status

  2. Top Level Status: summary of router software version, current project and layout, Ethernet configuration, system CPU load and memory usage Remote Routers: view all of the router on the network Logs: view critical maintenance information relating to the system, radios and models Health System E-Lins Router: monitor health and status of all routers in network Host Interface: receive and transmit statistics for all Ethernet ports Commplan: view status of current simulated radio parameters (frequency, waveforms, crypto, frequency hopping, and SATCOM) Model Health: examine detected faults and performance data Software Management Backup & Restore: perform one-button file management of options file, projects, and sound libraries Project Configuration Management: access the built-in CM database to view “change” history Set Default Project: creates preset for embedded, turnkey operation on boot-up Select & Reload: reconfiguration of projects and layouts on-the-fly Clone Project: Copy and paste projects from remote Targets Manage HLA RTI files User account & Password Protection: provides level of security Besides the above features, we also can add new features in RMS according to customer’s requirements.
