Demography of Poland • The country with 38.2 million population… • … which accounts for 52% of the ten new EU member states population or 8.5% of the whole EU-25 population • 2002 National Census: 16.8% (6 440 thousand) of population were between15 to 24 years old • Cohorts aged 15-24 in 2002 were the most numerous cohorts of the baby-boom generation born in late 1970s and early 1980s
