  2. Our phobias are not from God. • God does not give a spirit of timidity. • Our fear of the future, failure, death, loss, the unknown, you name it – do not come from God! The Power of God

  3. “But a spirit of power, of love, and of self-discipline” • We have no excusefor remaining an alcoholic, sexaholic, shopaholic, afraid, impatient, unforgiving, a selfish person, or a lousy parent! The Power of God

  4. Watch Video of boy born without arms and legs, adopted into a Christian family, who offers no excuses and does not fear his challenges, but has confidence and determination.

  5. Like this young man, God grants us a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline!

  6. So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. • 2 Timothy 1:8

  7. The context: Timothy not having fear or timidity in sharing God’s Word.

  9. The glory of God is the only power that can melt away our fears, our excuses, our sin, and our disobedience.

  11. When we see churches fighting, dividing, and refusing to share the gospel, we can be sure that they have not encountered (recently) the glory of God!

  17. In the U.S. time is money. • In God’s Kingdom time is souls. The Power of the Gospel

  18. Is saying “Yes” to God worth it? • This is the wrong question. The Glory of God

  19. Is God worthy? The Glory of God

  20. We tend to be so focused on the small issues: what I must give up, what I must do without, my fears, what comforts I must surrender, what struggles I might face. The Glory of God

  21. We have turned the church into an idol. • We have turned the church into an individualistic and selfish group. The Glory of God

  22. God is an investor, and he’s looking for good stewards who will be faithful with the little things so that He can grant us more. The Glory of God

  23. Will we be faithful, prayerful, and intentional about our mission? • *Read “Only A Mountain” lyrics • regarding difficulties and fears.
