Background Info • Born August 5th, 1928 in London, Ontario • In her mid-twenties, she battled anorexia • At 23, she taught English and drama in Timmins • At 30, she married an English professor, Dr. Ross Woodman • At 40, she started analyzing her own dreams • She determined she had to get out of her structured lifestyle and find change • At 45, she went to Zurich to become a Jungian analyst • She focused on the unconscious and the feminine • At 51, she started a practice in Toronto • It allowed women to join their feminine and masculine powers • At 65, she was diagnosed with uterine cancer – she later overcame it • She wrote more than 10 books, selling over 200, 000 copies worldwide • Started the Marion Woodman Foundation to promote analytical psychology

Theoretical Application • If everyone could appreciate that the value of women is equal to that of men, societies around the world would prosper • All women would have the right to vote, dress how they please and have control of their own person – they should have the same rights and freedoms that men do Gender equality would upgrade the lives of everyone, as the sexes would be working together as equals
