  1. What To Do After An IAS Interview? The whole exam is divided into three phases in a civil service exam – the Prelims, the Mains, and the interview round. There is no doubt that the UPSC exam is a very challenging civil service exam. Hence, you can be sure that many IAS candidates fail to make it to the interview round. However, the percentage of aspirants who can make it to the interview round feel clueless after they have appeared for the interview. Therefore, most of you do not know what to do after the interview. Facing UPSC interview questions is genuinely challenging. Many of you go through the adrenaline rush when inside the interview room. But what should you do after you have breathed your sigh of relief? The post-interview process is as important as the actual IAS interview round. If you are not aware of what to do after the interview process, we will guide you. 1. Ask how you should follow up Before you leave the interview room, it is suggested that you ask two vital things to the interviewers – one is the time by which the examiners will decide to inform them about the results. The other is the person to whom you can contact to know about the interview results. Generally, in the IAS exam, there is a stipulated time by which most candidates get to know about the UPSC exam results. So, now that your interview is over, all you need to do is wait for the results. During this time, you can go through some videos or read about some life experiences of some of the ex-IAS officers. This is how you should motivate yourself. 2. Be mentally prepared for the results Once you are done with your interview, know that it is time to wait for the results. You do not know what the results will be. So, instead of panicking about the results, have faith in yourself and build up confidence. Prepare yourself mentally and keep yourself motivated. Tell yourself that even if you fail, you will not give up. Instead, failure is the pillar of success. You will rather wake up again and start preparing yourself better and come up with flying colors the next time. 3. Get some distance You have undergone rigorous training for the IAS exam for quite a long time. Now, it is your time to relax a bit. So, instead of keeping glued to the books again, take some time out for yourself. Relaxation after a stressful period is a must. To spend some quality time, you can go for a short trip with your family or friends. Also, distance yourself from negative-minded people. They will demotivate you and try to pull you down. Instead of spending time with them, you can read some good books for self-development. 4. Analyze your performance in the interview After you come back home from the IAS interview, know that now it is time to reflect on the answers that you have given in the interview. Think about the answers that you gave in to the

  2. panelists. Consider if they are right or wrong. Your chances of selection can be estimated the best by you as you are the one who can judge yourself in the best possible way. Even if you think you gave wrong answers, do not whine about it. Instead, make it a point not to repeat the same mistake. This is how you can keep yourself motivated as well. 5. Keep up the search Now that you are done with the whole IAS exam process, many of you tend to stay detached from the books and knowledge as a whole. This is where you make a mistake. As an IAS officer, it is your responsibility to stay informed about the surroundings. So, do not neglect the habit of reading newspapers, books and checking out your surroundings. Also, if necessary, you can go through the current affairs. If you do not make it to the executive position this time, you can perform better the next time. Conclusion Now that you know what you should do after the IAS interview round, you can utilize the time you get after the interview process in some productive activity. If necessary, you can write down your thoughts to vent your emotions about the interview. Originally Posted Content: https://ebeel.com/blogs/80309/What-To-Do-After-An-IAS-Interview
