INTEROPERABILITY AND ACCESS TO DATA OBJECTIVE: To create the network infrastructure to access data and information
TN Main Activities • Create TWG • Define information use Policies • Discuss and adopt architecture and standards • Development • Data Entry Tools (Data providers, Central Server) • Search and retrieval tools • Training (Courses and Material) • Value-added tools • Web site • Maintain and Operate the TN System • Integrate TN with others IABIN TN’s • Operate and Maintain TN • Create a TN expert database • Promote the creation of metadata for the TN • Support IABIN Participants • Coordinate activities with IABIN secretariat
TN YEAR 1 WORK PLAN IABIN Secretariat: • Review ToRs to Select TN Thematic Network Coordinating Institution (Except I3N) • Select Thematic Network Coordinating Institution (Except I3N) • Approval of CI´s workplan • Coordinate the operation of the CI CI Work Plan, TWG
Minimum results from CI in YEAR 1 • TWG created and operating • Policies defined • TN standard, if need it • Start to develop entry tools (TN, expert DB)
Other Activities – Componente 1 • IABIN Website • Coordination between TN’s • Support IABIN Focal points • Coordination technology transfer on a regional and country basis
