  2. London Bridge • The most famous bridge with houses is also one of the earliest and the longest lasting, this is the London Bridge. It was built between built between 1176 and 1209.

  4. First Iron Bridge • The first iron bridge was built in the summer of 1779. It had a span of only 100 feet.

  5. Zavikon Island Bridge • The Zavikon Island Bridge is one of the smallest international bridges in our world’s history and was created in 1793.

  11. Box-Girder • In the 1950s, A new type of girder called a box-girder was developed. The new box-girder increased the length that bridges could be made.
