NATIONAL REFERENCE TRACE ORGANICS LABORATORY CPCB has developed ultra trace organic laboratory as National Reference Laboratory in collaboration with GTZ-ASEM. The Experts from USA, Canada and consultant from ERGO Forschungesellschaft mbH, Hamburg, Germany have provided basic input for planning and establishment of laboratory. The National Reference Trace Organics Laboratory has special safety features and capacity to analyze trace organics (pesticides, VOCs, POPs, PCBs N- (pesticides VOCs POPs PCBs, PAHs etc.) inaugurated at CPCB on September 6, 2006. This laboratory is first of its kind in India as state of art technology for analysis of ultra trace organic pollutants especially for Dioxins and Furans in environmental samples. CAPABILITIES To enhance capacities a five week technical training at Bavarian Environment Agency (LFU), Augsburg, Germany in cooperation with M/s Frauenhofer Institute (IVV), Freising, Germany during May 06, 2007 to June 09, 2007 on Analysis of Hazardous Pollutants and POP’s including Dioxin, Furan and VOC’s.
