The Study Plan links directly to tutorial exercises that match the problems from your text. • Get help when you need it: Multimedia learning aids such as video lectures and animated explanations are accessible from an online version of the textbook, or directly from the tutorial exercises.

  3. The Study Plan in MyMathLab tells you what areas you have mastered and where you need further help.

  4. What do you need to register for access to MyMathLab? 1) A Course ID given to you by your instructor. Here’s an example: SMITH36498 2) A student access code. Here’s an example: SMPLE – FRILL – TONLE – WEIRS - CHOIR - FLEES 3) A valid email address. 4) Your school’s zip code.

  5. Where do you find your student access code? Attached to the inside cover of your new textbook …or for sale in your bookstore

  6. To register or purchase access online, follow these steps: 1) Go to: www.coursecompass.com 2) Click the Register button for Students. 3) Read the “Before you start” information, then click Next.

  7. 4) Type in your instructor’s Course ID and click Find Course. The name of your course should appear (be sure you have the correct Course ID if it does not). • If your student access code came packaged with your textbook, select Access Code. • If you do not have an access code and want to purchase immediate access to your course online with a credit card, select Buy Now

  8. 5) If you have your new MyMathLab code, carefully type in the letters using one “word” per box (just use the “tab” key on your keyboard to move from one box to the next). Click Next.

  9. 6) Review the “License Agreement & Privacy Policy” and click I Accept.

  10. 7) Indicate whether or not you already have an account for other Pearson online products. • 8) Simply follow the on-screen instructions to complete registration for your course. • If this is your first online course from Pearson, you will create a personal login name and password...be sure to write it down!

  11. 6) Once your registration is complete, you will see a confirmation screen and have immediate access to the MyMathLab resources for your course!
