SAFETEA-LU The $100 Million Question • EXISTING FULL FUNDING GRANT AGREEMENTS • THE following Projects are authorized for final design and construction for existing full funding grant agreements • Ohio, Cleveland Euclid Corridor Project, $48 million • Florida, Tri-Rail Commuter Upgrade Project, $11 million • Illinois, CTA Douglas Branch Rail Reconstruction, $84 million • Colorado, Denver LRT in Southeast Corridor, $79.3 million • Illinois, CTA North-Central Corridor Commuter Rail, $24 million • MD, Baltimore LRT Double Track Project, $28.7 million

SAFETEA-LU The $100 Million Question • EXISTING PROJECT AUTHORIZATIONS • Subject to requirements of section 5309 (d) and 5309 (E) of Title 49 (Transportation) of the United States Code. • Michigan, Ann Arbor/Downtown Detroit Transit Improvement Project, $100 Million • Maryland, Baltimore Red and Green Line Projects, $102.3 million • Colorado, Denver Regional Transit District-West Corridor, $270 million • Texas, Houston, Advanced Transportation Technology System, $245 million

Ann Arbor to Detroit Regional Rail • Project Purpose • Three- five year demonstration project • Continue implementation of the region’s adopted transit plan • Establish accurate ridership and cost estimates for the corridor that will meet Title 49 requirements • Resubmit to New Starts for Federal Funding

Ann Arbor – Detroit Demonstration Project • 4 Daily Round Trips – Weekday (Peak Periods) • 3 Round Trips – Saturday and Sunday • 5 Stations (*2 New Stops*) • Ann Arbor • Ypsilanti* • Airport* • Dearborn • Detroit • Upgrades to Existing Rail Infrastructure • Norfolk Southern (NS) • Grand Trunk Western (Canadian National) • Conrail Shared Assets Operations (CSAO)
