Day in the Life (DITL) is a mentoring/tutoring program where UVA students help local youth respect education and achieve academic excellence. By dedicating just one hour a week, you can make a meaningful impact in a child's life while fulfilling outreach requirements. This semester-long commitment allows you to develop valuable skills such as teamwork, communication, and professionalism. Registration is open from August 25th to September 23rd online, with manual registration taking place on September 7-9. Join us and become an inspiring mentor!

  2. Remember when? What made you think about going to college? Who inspired you to achieve beyond high school? Who were your motivating mentors?

  3. What is DITL? A mentoring/tutoring program that recruits UVA students to help local youth build a respect for education and promote academic excellence.

  4. Tutoring • Tutoring • Semester based • 1 hour a week, based on your schedule • Can be completed Sunday thru Friday

  5. Why DITL? • Makes a difference in a child’s life! • Fulfills outreach requirement for class! • Gain skills that will benefit you in any career: • Responsibility • Teamwork • Communication skills • Listening skills • Professionalism • Positive thinking

  6. The Truth Is… The results of your involvement in DITL will ripple across time which will influence a child’s life.

  7. Registration • Online registration is available from Aug 25th to Sept 23rd . • http://www.virginia.edu/communityrelations/ involvement.html • Manual registration will be Sept 7-9th from 10am to 3pm in the Curry building by room 280. • Registration ends by Sept 24th!
