6. Pursuing a global coverage Today’s situation: • 32 national/regional collections including big offices like: PCT, US, EPO, Japan, Korea, Russia … • 30 million biblio records, 20 million full text records • Very soon China, Canada, Australia, UK

38. What’s new: Full text search in Japanese Since April 2012, PATENTSCOPE uses the LUCENE Kuromoji morphological analyzer (contributed by : Atilika Inc. (アティリカ株式会社)): • Japanese text is tokenized in « words » before indexation and the obtained « words » are indexed the same way as for latin languages • Proximity queries are more meaningful • CLIR to be adapted to use Kuromoji in the near future
