  2. Freshman rallies Freshman rallies at Desert View and Sunnyside high schools encouraged students to get the right start in high school. Freshmen took the Digital Advantage Pledge.

  6. Desert View Pride Don Fuentes Jr., son of Desert View mariachi teacher Don Fuentes Sr., received a music scholarship to New Mexico State at Las Cruces. Don Jr. is a Desert View graduate and has been the trumpet instructor for Desert View Mariachi the last three years.

  7. Thank you The Steven M. Gootter Foundation donated automated external defibrillators, known as AEDs, to several Southern Arizona high schools. AEDs were presented to both Desert View and Sunnyside.
