  3. Why IVS? • Peace and social justice organisation • 80 years of experience • Part of a global network – Service Civil International • Brings people together from across the world to volunteer, to learn, to build understanding, to increase our tolerance and promote peace

  4. What happens on an IVS project? • Volunteer with internationals • Learn about different cultures and nationalities • Working alongside volunteer peers to help and develop community projects • Cost (travel not included) • UK camps cost £55 • International camps cost £150

  5. What type of things can I do? • Go on a Short Term project (2 – 3 weeks) • Go on a Long Term project (2 – 12 months) Agriculture Archaeology Art Construction Cultural Heritage Disaster Relief Environment Festival Language Study Medical Restoration/ renovation Sport Study/research Teaching Working with children Working with animals Working with the disabled
