  2. Transformations – changes position of a point or figure on coordinate plane.

  3. Translations – Every point in a figure moves the same distance within a plane. Also called a slide.

  4. Reflections – produces a mirror image of a figure by flipping it over the x-axis, the y-axis, or a line. Also called a flip.

  5. Rotations – turns a figure around a point. Also called a turn. (counterclockwise)

  6. Translation rule – right 2, up 4x + 2, y + 4

  7. Reflection Rule: over x (x, -y) over y (-x, y) over y=x (y, x)
