You can donate your eyes even if you……wear spectacles…have undergone cataract operation…have had tuberculosis…have diabetes, asthma, high blood pressure One cannot donate eyes if they have any one of these: Hepatitis, AIDS, Leukemia, Encephalitis, Septicimea (bacteremia, fungemia, viremia), Retinoblastoma, Lymphoma, Laser photo ablation surgery, Creutzfeldt-Jacod syndrome

  9. Eyes can be donated only after death.Eyes have to be removed within 6 hours of death.Contact an Eye-bank as soon as possible.Eye-bank team will remove the eyes either at home or in the hospital, in less than 20 minutes.Two people gain sight from one pair of donated eyes.
