Case Study Dissertation & Research Methods School practice •  Modules work to embed awareness • Formative exercise undertaken in Research methods: Proposal reviewing OR with supervisors or the module tutors, who provide advice on remedial action.  * • Information Specialist talk/exercises ‘Plagiarism and how to avoid it’. • Students required to submit their whole projects to the PDS prior to submission.  Offered two ‘revision’ submissions before final.  * • Require submission summative work to TurnitinUK Deborah Trayhurn External Examiners’ Conference

Regulations & AMBeR survey • AMBER survey part 1 outcomes : Northumbria mature Regulatory framework, some additions made: • Student own re-use of materials • 3.2.vThis is the unacknowledged re-submission of work the student had previously submitted for assessment, whether for an award at this University or elsewhere. • 4.1.7 An allegation of academic misconduct may be made at any time after the work has been marked and returned to the student.
