  2. „Zer den Euskal Zinea?“ galderari erantzuna emateko asmoz, hiru pausoren ikerketa egin dugu. „Euskal Zinea•“ historian zehar, bost ataletan banatuta, da lehendabizikoa. Bigarrena; „Euskal Herriko pelikulen ezaugarriak aztertzen ditu, Euskal Zinearen mamiaren definizio zehatzaren bila. Hirugarrena, etorkizunari begira, ikusentzunezkoak, gure euskal izanaren ispilu bihur daitezen, somatzen ditugun perspektibak. Intentando responder a la Antigua y repetida pregunta: „¿Que es el cine vasco?“ hemos realizado un itinerario dividido en 3 etapas: la primera investiga en la historia del Cine Vasco, analizando 5 periodos en los que constituyen los elementos esenciales del Cine Vasco, para concluir, en una 3. Parte, analizando las perspectivas de futuro del audiovisual vasco, en su tarea de servir de espejo de nuestro ser mas profundo. In an attempt to answer the old and often-repeated question: What is Basque Cinema? we have carried out an itinerary divided into 3 stages: The first looks into the history of Basque Cinema, analysing 5 periods into which existing productions are divided. A second part endeavours to deal with an essay defining the essential elements of Basque Cinema; lastly, in a 3. part, we have analysed the future perspective of Basque audiovisual, in its role as the mirror of our most profound being.
