  3. Schools for Africa-Ruanda(Our project: primary school "Višnjevac") • This school year (2008/2009) the primary school "Višnjevac" is included in UNICEF's "Schools for Africa" project. • Our school helps the children in RUANDA. We know a lot about Ruanda. The people are very poor and very hungry as in the other countries in Africa. The school children don't have enough school things, clothes, food, etc. So we decided to collect as much money as we could. We have done different things. Last year some classes baked cakes and they sold them to other pupils in our school. Some pupils organized sports events (handball, football) or karaoke. • The pupils and the teachers bought tickets for these events. • All of us were very happy as we collected over 1,200 kunas. • It was our way of helping. We know it is not enough but we'll try to get more. All the pupils have big hearts and a great wish to continue helping. It is a great feeling to help someone who needs your help. It is known:"A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND INDEED."
