This small fort managed to repel a month of attack from the Ottomans at the outset of the Great Siege. When the Siege was over, the victorious nights rebuilt the fort and strengthened its defenses. Museum of Archeology, National Aquarium The Museum of archeology exhibits stone tools dating back from 5200BC, prehistoric figurines found either in burial context or above ground temples, a temple model from Ta’ Hagrat and Phoenician amulets.
