This paper explores the development of a generic worker model at the interface of health and social care, emphasizing reablement services for individuals with physical or mental health challenges. The innovative program, targeting 80 employees, integrates social care, therapeutic, and clinical skills through a two-year Foundation Degree. Key outcomes include promoting independence, reducing the need for ongoing support, and adapting services to individual needs. The approach underscores the importance of tailored support plans and collaboration between service users, practitioners, and therapists.
