Question: How would you define “Meek”?
Elder Maxwell Meek individuals know they are set apart to serve, not merely set apart to observe. It is the proud, not the meek, who keep score. The meek are not playing games for those in the grandstand. The meek are slow to judge, whereas the proud are quick, even eager to judge. The meek will not withhold compassion or help, saying that 'the man has brought upon himself his misery.' … Being more open to the truth, the meek are more free, while the proud are compassed about with the glitzed self-sufficiency that keeps them from grasping the hand of fellowship extended to all by the Lord's prophets." Tree of Life Alma 32,33,34 Korihor Alma 30 Zoramites Alma 31 • I don’t know so you can’t know either • Show me a Sign in order to know • Actually I do know, but I’m making a lot of money So I’ll pretend I don’t • We know, you don’t • God chose us, not you • Because we were elected, we can do whatever we want—and, yes, I am making a lot of money • How we can really know • How Christ is symbolized by the Tree of Life • Proven by two sets of witnesses: Zenos/Zenock and Alma/Amulek
Korihor Alma 30:6
Anti-Mormon Korihor Logic I want to do what I want to do. To not do it would be crazy. Commandments are crazy. I’d be crazy to keep them. Anyone who keeps them is crazy. I’m too smart to do crazy. Hmmm, time to mock so I can prove I’m not crazy.

Zoramites Alma 31:1
How to REALLY know…. Alma 32:4
The Mighty Change Alma 31:5 …the preaching of His Lovehad a great tendency to lead the people to do that which was just— Yea, [His Love] had had more powerful effect upon the mind of the people than the sword, Or anything else, which had happened to them. Alma 32:28 Now, we will compare His love unto a seed. Now, if ye give place, that a seed may be planted in your heart… If yea do not cast it out by your unbelief, that ye will resist the Spirit of the Lord, behold it will begin to swell within your breasts And when you feel these swelling motions, ye will begin to say… It must be…a good seed, or that His love is good… [His Love]beginneth to enlighten my understanding Alma 32:28 Now, we will compare the word unto a seed. Now, if ye give place, that a seed may be planted in your heart… If yea do not cast it out by your unbelief, that ye will resist the Spirit of the Lord, behold it will begin to swell within your breasts And when you feel these swelling motions, ye will begin to say… It must be…a good seed, or that the word is good… [The Word]beginneth to enlighten my understanding Alma 31:5 …the preaching of the word had a great tendency to lead the people to do that which was just— Yea, [the word] had had more powerful effect upon the mind of the people than the sword, Or anything else, which had happened to them.
Final Question When you were younger, what seeds were planted in your heart? Did someone plant seeds of doubt or mistrust or pain? As those seeds grew what was the fruit like? If that’s the case, could you at least try ‘an experiment’ on the words of Alma? What if you aroused your faculties, and exercised “a particle of faith? What might happen if you allowed the Lord to plant a good seed; one what you didn’t immediately cast out by your unbelief? What if it began to ‘swelleth’ and ‘beginneth to grow’? What might happen if ‘your understanding doth begin to be enlightened, and your mind doth begin to expand?’ Oh then, is not this real? I say unto you, yea, because it is light.
