This process is called in-vitro fertilisation(IVF). • The zygote or embryo up to 8 blastomere is transferred into the fallopian tube. The process is called zygote intra fallopian transfer (ZIFT) or embryo more than 8 blastomere is transferred into uterus called intra-uterine transfer (IUT).

  4. GAMETE INTRA FALLOPIAN TRANSFER(GIFT) • In this technique ovum is collected from a donor is transferred into the fallopian tube of another female who cannot produce egg/ovum but can provide suitable environment for fertilisation and further development of the embryo.

Intra cytoplasmic sperm injection (I c s I ) • It is a procedure to form an embryo in the laboratory by directly injected the sperm into an ovum. • This technique is used in case where the male is unable to inseminate sperms in the female reproductive tract or due to very low sperm count in the ejaculation.
