  3. Distribution • From Asia • Came to USA in 1985 in Texas • Came by tires imported here by Japan • Can be found anywhere in North America and asia

  4. Effects on people • Can cause LaCrosse encephalitis, a virus which humans het through an infected mosquito bite • Now people come out of the woods early because mosquitoes some out at night

  5. Effects on ecosystem • Tiger mosquitoes ( female) get blood from other animals • They don’t effect the ecosystem that much

  6. Food web • In the food web below the rat is getting energy by eating a mosquito ( insect)

  7. Reasons for success • They have plenty of food • Enough area to navigate places

  8. Issues for the future • People say that there is no way to control this but investigators are planning a trap to capture them • Trade offs are that they might be able to trap the mosquitoes but they might get infected with a bite.
