The first achievement of this partnership,fruit of two years of collaboration, is a sensor integrating a digital compass, an inertial central and a Differential Global Positioning System (dGPS).

THE CONCEPT The anticollision concept developed by SK consists in giving some kind of articial intelligence to a mobile allowing to avoid any risk of collision with its environment composed of heterogeneous mobiles and motionless obstacles. It is a formal and universal system that can adapt itself to every kind of mobiles: cranes, planes, trains, ships, cars, robots… Furthermore the system is based on ‘object oriented’ technology that allows the integration of heterogeneous mobiles.. THE PRINCIPLE : THE DYNAMIC AND TEMPORAL SAFETY COCOON According to the data given by the sensors (positions, speed, weight and inertia, wind speed and direction…) the system calculates a dynamic and temporal safety area called ‘dynamic and temporal safety cocoon’. The onboard radar allows to identify its risk environment, i.e. the whole neighbouring safety cocoons formed by the other mobiles and motionless obstacles. The system then estimates the collision risk and takes all the corrective measures via its automatic pilot in case of needs to avoid any intersection between the mobile’s cocoon and the neighbooring cocoons. Then the calculation of risk module estimates the collision risk of the mobile and sends it to the decision expert system : - If there is no risk nothing is done - If the risk becomes important, the pilot is warned : graph, audio, vocal and sound - If the risk is critical, the pilot is warned and optionally the autopilot starts a collision avoidance process A UNIQUE TECHNOLOGY IN THE WORLD FOR ANY TYPE OF MOBILE SK confirms its statute of world leader introducing, with its partner HONEYWELL its new Navigator plateform software: the Anticollision for Mobile Cranes or any type of construction vehicle. Navigator system manages anti-collision between tower cranes and mobile cranes (or any kind of mobile), part of the Global Safety Cranes Management program.   9. Navigator SK SOLUTIONS DATACENTER The SK Solutions Datacenter servers can manage up to 10,000 cranes. It has been designed and manufactured by HP especially for the Navigator supervision and is blade server technology based. It consists in servers operating with Windows and Oracle for data storage and management. The full Navigator supervision package software provides functions for cranes remote connection, cranes supervision and security management.
