  2. Lack of Motivation • If students are bored and not interested in school, little learning will take place especially for at-risk students. • Lessons need to be engaging and interactive to keep students interested.

  3. Poor Basic Arithmetic Skills • If students lack a foundation in math, they will become more frustrated as the concepts become more complex. • Struggling math students need to receive one-on-one tutoring immediately before it's too late!

  4. Poor Study Skills • Students need to be taught effective ways to study. •  Students need to see the value in studying.

  5. Lack of Self-Esteem • Once a student believes they are "bad" at a subject, they will always be bad at that subject until someone breaks the cycle. • Students need to discover inner pride for their accomplishments.

  6. Lack of Extra Help • If students do not have the help necessary for their learning they would be behind and that cause that they fail .  • It is essential that each teacher individually spends time to each students. By creating tutors hours.

  7. Low Income Problems • Most of the time students fail school because they do not have the  money for buy the necessary materials for their classes. • It is important that schools help those students with low income with their basic materials for their learning. That would permit students continue with their education.

  8. Negative Friendships • Sometimes students fail school because they are having negative relationships at school. At school one kid can change the mind of couple of kids, by telling them that school is not important and that it is most fun spend time around.  • In this case teachers and parents need to be aware of every students character change. If they see a change they need to work together to see what is the problem.

  9. Lack of Lesson Differentiation * All students are different and learn in different ways. Lessons need to be taught to meet the needs of all students in order to help all students succeed.

  10. Poor Reading Comprehension * Students who have poor reading skills tend to do poorly in school * these students become reluntant to read causing reading comprhension to drop further

  11. Lack of Parental Involvment * Students need parents to show interest in what they are learning to help he or she see the value in learning.  * Students need a stable home and parents or guardians who are involved and make sure attendance is steady. * Parents can help by checking their child's homework, asking what he or she has learned each day, and provide meaningful praise and support.
